Yes, you've got a point Christine! I recently discovered many supergoof pictures on pinterest, too, without asking me first, and I don't link that either. There is a copyright on a blog,...but say the word pinterest, and copyright doesn't count! :o(
Pinterest has become such a huge thing. It would be courtesy to ask so I agree with you there. I often wondered about the whole ownership issue it creates but it seems like copyright has flown out the window with that programme.
I have to say, I have pinned somethings from a blog that I wanted to refer back to (binding tutorial, and a few other tutorials that I found helpful). I see your point in wanting a person to ask....but the pinned item is linking the person back to the original post on the blog. Will keep the asking part in mind in the future but since the pin was going back to where it was borrowed from so the people using the pinned item saw who came up with the idea, I didn't even consider it a possible issue. Thanks for making me aware that other people may not see it that way.
I really can't be bothered with Pinterest no time! So I hope if someone sees something of mine they will let me know.. Good point Christine, glad you brought that up. Julia ♥
I completely understand but I have found Pinterest drives traffic to my blog....esp as the picture is linked when its pinned......coutesy never hurt anyone though Hugs Dawn x x
good for you! I don't know if it will work, but hope so. I've heard my stuff is out there, I'm not on pinterest, so haven't seen it myself - it's stealing in a way isn't it?
Do a Google search for "pinterest and copyright issues". There is some interesting information. Sounds like there might be a way to block someone from pinning your pictures but whether it works on a blog, I don't know.
I appreciate how you feel about this but I think you would be shooting yourself in the foot as I use my pin board to remind me where I have found patterns on the net and to avoid clogging up my favourites bar. If pictures stop linking back to the blog or became unavailable Well you know out of sight out of mind I just forget I ever saw them and never go looking for that pattern or fabric or whatever. It is sad but I doubt anyone will see that little post when they are pinning
I'm not sure why you are asking that. I love having my boards to refer back to. I guess I'll just delete my Pinterest boards if it's a copyright issue.

Hope that cures the problem! I found unauthorized photos from blog there as well. I will not put up photos of any original work anymore!
Good luck with that one! LOL

Very reasonable request, Christine.
