My favorite piece of advice, I don't know if it was the best, was when you are making a scrappy quilt, always pick a few fabrics you don't like. I do it all the time, and end up loving those fabrics. I don't know if you've done this before!

congrats! My favorite piece of advice was when I found out about leaders and enders....now why didn't I think of that myself!

Congratulations on your post no 100. Good luck on your next hundred as well. I’ll be her popping by to get entertained :o)
The best advice I've received must be my old aunt saying: “It isn’t handcraft until there are at least 5 mistakes’, only God’s work is perfect”.

Millie said...

Congratulations on your 100Th post!
The best advice I got was to just have fun and not to try to be perfect...just to relax and to use what you have.

Meredith said...

Best tip was to enjoy the process. I can get caught up in perfection. i like my quilts to look good. :) Congrats on you # of posts.

Best tip someone told me is that there is no quilt police. Quilt as you like.:D

Congratulations on 100 posts! It comes up faster than you think!

The best advice I ever got was from my grandmother.

1. Always do your work with clean hands.

2. Never have idle hands - even if you are sitting and watching t.v. have a little handwork ready to do a few stitches.

I really miss knowing her as an adult. Having a world of wisdom from all the wonderful ladies in blogland is just so wonderful...

Cheers - Shari

Yay Christine! Best advice is the one I gave myself... "Don't punish yourself by only finishing up what you've started, if the creative bug bites, go with it!"

Congratulation with your 100th post! Best tip I got: try it and no need to have it perfect the first time. Be satisfied with what you make and enjoy the process.

Just one more. That's my favorite piece of advice. I use it to motivate myself to keep on task (e.g., just one more paragraph, 1/4 mile, etc), too be mindful of other's feelings (take just one more breath before you speak), etc.

I'd love to win the fabric. I'll be traveling for work so web access will be a bit sketchy (same5 at verizon dot net).

Congrats on your 100th post!
