News and what I have been doing

Hello to all

The news is devastating and full of stories of loss and sadness, as well as survival.
The fires are still burning and more towns are under threat and are being evacuated.
My dear son in law has left to help, he is an Officer in the Defence Force, I hope they all stay safe.
To make this post a little more quilty, I have been quilting a few customer quilts to keep my mind of things.
This oh so cute quilt was made by a mother to be, it is her first attempt and I think it is so very cute.

Thought I share some photos with you.

Also my baby boy bought me these beautiful flowers for my birthday.

I am going tomorrow to donate some money as we are told that is the best thing to do to help at this point in time.

Hope you all stay safe.

hugs
Christine

May he and all who go to help, stay safe Christine.

Those quilts are lovely. The young Mother's quilt looks lovely. Hard to imagine it's her first attempt! You should have seen mine!

So many dead people...what a disaster......we always watch the news on TV....I feel very very sorry for the people living there, and as I read caused by incendiaries...but I also heard, that when they find them they are faced a charge of it and that they are adjudged as murderes...is it right???

I have to stop watching the news today and also we are to donate money, it seems like we have so much when they have nothing. It will be good to think we can help in some small way.
Love that lamb quilt.

Yes, if they are guilty of arson that kills someone, they are guilty of murder. The maximum sentence is 25 years. It would be more like mass murder in this case.

We all feel like staying close together at times like this. So many sad events.

I stumbled onto your blog and love it! I would like to add you to mine if that is ok. I see we like very similar things on our profiles as well...Great Blog! Cheers

Christine, you all stay in my thoughts during this time of your country's devestation.

It's nice you got flowers from your son, perhaps family and friends are the best comfort during this time.
